Dec. 21st, 2005 07:44 pm GREAT DAY, NOT.
Hey folks try this on for size. This morning I was in the back packing some customer mail outs and getting ready for the first truck of the day when bang, something hits the side of the building. I open the back door and the smell of rotten eggs and a rush of "wind" almost knocks me out. The UPS driver hit and totally demolished out natural gas line. All I could think of is to get the emps and customers out of the store as I grabbed a phone and paged the other manager. To make it short between the fire dept and gas company it got shut off and a new barrier around it. And now for some points of interest.
As I was directing the security truck to block customers for entering the parking lot and the gas truck to the line, I see a guy coming out from behind my dumpster. (turns out this is the guy that has been using it as his own personal bathroom) He had a cig in his mouth and was about to strike his lighter. With thinking I ran towards him yelling and he took off. (He must have read the note I left back there stating I was going to cut his balls off if I ever caught him) Now picture this it was not a little leak the sound was equal to that of a raging river and the smell was so bad you could hardly breath and this idiot was going to light up.
I had a portable phone with me so I answered it while the other manager was making sure all of the emps were at the rendezvous location. Even after telling people that there was an emergency gas leak and that I was not in the store several people wanted me to go back inside to look up books. Now by this time the were about to cut off everything to the building because they could not find the main shut off for the gas.
That is how my day started, I may post about the crap with the delivery driver later.
Merry "freaking" Christmas.

Oct. 16th, 2005 07:01 pm S first B-day party
We to the monkey to a birthday party yesterday for S who turned one. He is the son of some friends of ours. Monkey got to do a lot of the things for the first time. She loved all of it. She got to go on her first hay ride and hot dog roast. She even got to go on a ride through the Enchanted Forest. Our friends made a path in the woods and created faces on the trees and all sorts of mystical areas. It even ended with a trip to a haunted house it is October after all. The wife and I had a great time with the Monkey. It's good to get out of the house every now and then.

Aug. 18th, 2005 10:35 pm The week
The whole of my week so far.
Monday: Open the receiving door and I see a flock of Canadian geese. I thought how wonderful the seen was
until the entire flock takes a giant crap in unison. Then the damn truck was late late as in I had
to leave ten minutes after it was unloaded. At least he droped the returns in the goose shit and
had to pick it up.
Tuesday and Wed. Major sinus infection kept me out of work.
Thursday: It looked like the damn place exploded and this is after they claimed to have cleaned it up a
bit. And the truck was missing 50 pieces so 200 for tomorrow not counting the 40+ coming from
Hope your week is going better.

Aug. 7th, 2005 12:08 am Holy Crude It's An Update
I maybe updating more often now, thanx to wickedpodcast. For some reason that only the Lord and Lady know when they asked me to be on some nuts seemed to like it.
So it's time to go back to the learning station for all this stuff. Who knows maybe it can help sidetrack me from the DESIRE to run amok in my store with some heavy and sharp object swing from my hands.
May Light water and bright laughter fill your day.

I know an update. THE GATES OF HELL MUST BE FROZEN SHUT. 2 comments - Leave a comment
We spent the weekend with the Circle of Dragons since we could not got to Charleston this past Halloween. Punkin had fun and it was great getting to see everyone.
We also got to meet a friend of the wifes from Tiny Tim and live journal.
Hope she had a good time. And Punkin was her usual self. Not talking till the end and then she got a little sad when Siercia left. She was so cute when she said "Mommy your friend is gone. I don't want her to go."
By the gods just when I think I can not love her or her mother any more they do something to prove that I can. Hey me life ain't perfect but I am happy.

Ok here is an update. The promotion has finally been made official after a year.
I am worried about somethings that I can not control. And sometimes I am confused and scared by my double nature. Other than that I have a wonderful wife and a future of wonder and amazement with my child and I know my life is better then it was.

Nov. 29th, 2003 07:43 pm Turkey day
Well, if you read my wife's lj (bookwitch) then you know that no one showed up besides my sister and she didn't think she was going to make it to begin with. But you know what it didn't matter to me the people I cared most for were already there. That being my wife and child. I got up early because she always said it isn't Thanksgiving with out a turkey so I was going to makes sure she had it and all the trimmings. The thing is I know it made her very upset. THAT IS THE THING THAT TICKS ME OFF. Me I can go with the flow but making the family upset can put you on my badside quick. And trust me Mr. Mcgee you want like me when I get angry.3 comments - Leave a comment
But that is the past and now I look forward to Punkin's second Yule time season. She is old enough to be more aware and I can not wait. Her laughter, smile and little running mouth just makes my day. As a matter of fact she repeats everything you say. So believe me she has said a couple of things that she shouldn't having the parents she does. We watch our language but every now and then it happens. At least
we know that she is a happy child. By the gods and goddesses I never thought I would say this but I am happy.
